Bridal Veil Falls, Nantahala National Forest

Bridal Veil Falls was a barely discernible trickle when we visited at the end of July 2008, below, but was in better shape when we were there again in July 2012. The conceit of the attraction is the drive behind the 40-foot cascade.

Here is a look at this roadside attraction in July 2012.

Bridal Veil Falls is in the Cullasaja Gorge on U.S. 64 a couple of miles west of Highlands in southeast Macon County.

Dry Falls and the upper and lower Cullasaja Falls are a few miles farther west on U.S. 64.
